We have partnered with RSM to deliver a web series that will demonstrate how to adopt Microsoft 365 for your bank staff as well as how to effectively use with your customers. The series will take place over five sessions and will dive deep into how the programs work and how to potentially save money.

Overview of Office 365

Overview about several features that are included in the Office 365 E1 (and above) package while giving practical applications in financial services, and how they can aid your team’s workflow and ultimately strengthen your organization.

 

05.04.21 | Session Two

Compliance in Office

Review of compliance and due diligence requirements within Office 365. Topics include: Data Retention, Vendor Management, Backup, Disaster Recovery and other important Policy Updates. 

 

05.18.21 | Session Three

Teams

During this session, we will be review common use cases of using Microsoft Teams within a Financial Institution. Examples are using Teams for communications and collaboration surrounding board meetings, Retail, and Operations.

SharePoint

SharePoint can be complex, during this session, we would review how you can leverage your investment in Microsoft SharePoint to create a centralized document management and employee communications portal that meets the unique needs of financial institutions. Utilize Microsoft licenses you have already purchased to:

  • Centralize data storage and share information with multiple branch locations
  • Manage committee meetings with automated workflows and built-in auditing tools
  • Streamline departmental operations through collaborative workspaces and discussion boards
  • Ease regulatory compliance demands with authoring and version controls, as well as vendor management

About the Presenters:

Pat Peterson has more than 15 years of information technology experience and focuses on delivering SharePoint and Microsoft Office 365 business solutions out of the Minneapolis RSM office. Prior to joining RSM, Pat worked for a Microsoft Certified learning partner as a senior educator where he led the SharePoint training and mentoring practice. During his professional career, Pat has trained and administered sites in SharePoint 2007-2019 and Online.

At RSM, Pat has successfully focused on SharePoint-centric projects, such as a migration of content from Novell file shares, various migrations from Windows files shares, and SharePoint portal implementations. During these projects, Pat’s experience with metadata standards and general governance has been instrumental to the successful implementation and rollout of the platform. Pat also focuses on the Productivity workloads within Microsoft Office 365, including Groups, Teams, Planner and Stream. He has successfully conducted various customer immersion experience (CIE) and other training sessions to a good number of RSM clients. Pat has extensive experience with design and implementation of Nintex forms and work flows and is Nintex certified.

Caleb Schultz is a Manager of the Financial Institution Technology and Consulting team for RSM. He has over 15 years of experience ranging from CIO & advisory services to technical design, as well as managing delivery and support teams in financial institutions. Working nationally with financial institutions large and small, he focuses on technology solutions to increase employee productivity and reduce risk exposure to cyber threats. 

Over the course of his professional career, Caleb has successfully worked with financial institutions to reduce their cybersecurity risk through implementing cybersecurity layered technologies, including intrusion prevention systems, SIEM, Carbon Black, and coordinated vulnerability and penetration testing.  Other professional accomplishments include the development of enterprise-wide information security programs and implementation of mobile banking, internet banking, merchant and mobile deposit solutions.
