Job Title:
Personal Banker / Consumer Lender

Minnesota Lakes Bank, a progressive, family-owned community bank with locations in Delano and Mound is seeking a full-time Personal Banker/Consumer Lender. Successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business; underwriting, structuring and closing real estate, construction and consumer loans; as well as servicing an existing portfolio.

Service real estate loan customers • Process loan applications • Analyze customer’s financial information • Make credit decisions within loan policy guidelines • Ensure timely application process and follow-through to closing • Ensure all required compliance documentation is in order • Refer customers to the secondary real estate loan market as necessary Service consumer loan customers • Receive and process consumer loan applications • Determine applicant qualifications for credit check, credit history, employment and debt ratio • Arrange to have bank’s secured interest recorded on all collateral • Perform collection work on delinquent loans • Assure that all appropriate loan documents are completed and signed Service business loan customers within internal guidelines • Qualify customers and prepare corresponding paperwork • Present application to loan committee or senior lender • Exercise independent judgment on credit underwriting and decision making process in accordance with lending limits and underwriting guidelines as outlined in the loan policy. Develop and grow the bank’s book of business by drawing on a network of personal and business contacts, business experience and knowledge of the bank’s products and services • Promote the bank’s image through community networking and actively participating in community events and activities • Participate in organizations that improve the quality of life in the communities we serve Provide banking services for all customers • Assist walk-in customers with questions • Assist call-in customers with questions Other Duties • Open and close bank as scheduled, following security guidelines and insuring employees are prepared for customers • Ensure adequate officer coverage at each location • Ensure open communication between officers • Assist with answering phones when necessary; field incoming calls and transfer to appropriate person or department • Be attentive and mindful of lobby traffic; assist and direct customers to appropriate person or department • Provide support to other employees • Serve as a positive role model to other bank staff, always demonstrating the bank’s internal & external values Perform other duties as directed by management

3-5 years of consumer lending experience required.
